8 years ago, I was looking for someone close to home, at a ‘non-High Street’ based salon, for my manicures and shellac nail colour. Angela was/is the perfect solution, as she is local but, moreover, her practitioner room is part of a house conversion with its own driveway and entrance.

I found Angela to be very tuned in to what I wanted, along with my preferences of colours and style and, although Angela has advised me of different trends and variances over the years, she knows I like to stay in my comfort zone! That said, Angela always has the colours I choose and will always tell me about stock re-order when she is running low.

Having seen how much equipment Angela had in her room, she now does my electrolysis, lesion removal and any other procedures I need throughout the year. Angela has given me advice when she has felt I should consult my GP or specialist before performing certain procedures.

Her premises are spotlessly clean, and she sterilises equipment before and after use. This was especially important to me during, and after, the pandemic as I work in social care and look after vulnerable people. Angela kept me informed me, via text and email, regarding closure and opening dates, which were in line with the government guidelines as well as sending a checklist of precautions she was going to follow and those expected by us, her clients, once she was able to re-open.

These were comprehensive, safe and consistently followed during each of my visits and continue to be so.

I confessed to Angela that I had purchased equipment to do my own manicures and shellac nails during lockdown but there was nothing better than putting it to the back of a cupboard, knowing that I could go back to Angela to get a professional job done!
